Shop partnership

Wheee! It’s official!

There’s now a shop that carries my products! It’s in Valparaíso (Chile) and it’s called “Donde tu madre”, in a strategic location within the city. I’m exciteeed!

My illustrated thingies like notebooks and notepads, sticker sets and hand painted greeting cards as well as the glittered mugs will be available for purchase in the shop.

I went to install my stuff a few days ago and I’m still working on optimizing my space, make it look nice and bring new things, so this isn’t the definite look, but I had to share.

The right side of this is mine -and there’s still things missing!

Stickers and greeting cards.. and more stuff coming soon!

Learning: textile printing

New class! This time, all about hand printing on fabric. While I have my eye out on places or ways to print my illustrations into fabric, I’m also interested in hand printing other kinds of designs. We’re a couple classes in and so far, so good!

First up: designing a stamp to cut by hand.

Might have gotten a little carried away

I may have gotten a little cross eyed but it was worth it.

Aaand it’s a stamp!

And then I went a little nuts stamping.

Little by little

I have no spaceeeeee

Because of the remodeling works in my house, it’s really hard to work. But I’m slowly getting there. I almost have no room for doing things, but I try. I decided to use a sketchbook with black sheets to practice some lettering.

Very appropriate under the circumstances

New challenges

New year, new life, some say. What I do know is that a lot of projects are coming up for this year, I wish to learn new things and expand my limits and horizons. Organizing it all will be the hardest, probably.

And like destiny knew about this, I was contacted locally by someone who liked my work at the Mall Fair, and asked for a custom notebook, and the cover art was something completely out of my comfort zone. I didn’t take pictures of the process or the final product, but I do have one of the sketch.

Didn’t you say you wanted new things?

Christmas fair 2016

Christmas fair booth ♥

A daytime look.

So the following day after the Mall Fair ended, this fair started! I will admit it has been tough, because they’re very long hours and I gotta restock and make things in whatever time is leftover. Or, you know, try to work when I’m *at* the fair and it’s not a very busy time (and if it’s not too windy).

Working at the fair

Still working

One of the days, I didn’t have time to make myself lunch or a sandwich and the usual vendors that show up daily to sell us food were nowhere in sight. As I was texting people to share my food troubles, one of my friends showed up on the way to a reunion just to bring me a sandwich and cookies. It was the sweetest thing!! I could feel the love~

Friendship goals right here

Shortly after my friend gave me the food, my dear Abue (granny) showed up and brought me what she knows is one of my favorite summer dishes: porotos granados (it’s a Chilean bean-corn dish served hot). I had to make space in my belly to eat it haha because I HAD TO. So much love in my food that day. She also stayed for a few hours with me.

Food = Love

She got cold at some point and I gave her my scarf for her to wear. She looked so cool I took her photo, and after she left, I decided to draw her.

Not posting the actual photo of her I took because I value my own life.
