Since last day’s inktober drawing had been simple, I wanted something a little more complex. I’ve always loved the kind of loose watercolor drawing that has black lines, but really thin ones that aren’t the star of the show (but need to be there). I also like the drawings where the color doesn’t really stay inside the lines or fills the forms completely, but I’m a little too obsessive to manage that without making 2 separate drawings and then putting them together in Photoshop. (But someday..!)
Anyway, I was browsing the photos I’ve taken (I do love photography) and I came across one I took a couple of years ago when I was visiting a friend. We were both going on a little boat tour on the Iguazú falls, and we were advised to take off our shoes because they’d get wet. We were both too cheap to get flip flops from the souvenir shop, so we went barefoot. I took a photo of our super pale feet before going down an endless staircase of stone and bricks.
It wasn’t as pastel-y looking and loose as I pictured it in my head, but I still like how it came out. Also, it was a perfect opportunity to try out my Ecoline liquid watercolors that I got for my birthday 🙂
